For those of you familiar with the Mt. Washington Valley area, you know that we’ve received a bit of snow lately. The white capped mountains are gorgeous. The skiers are delighted. And our dogs . . . well, let’s just say they’re having plenty of fun playing, “Can you see me now?” in their yard.
From the smiles on their faces, you’d think there was nothing quite like making your human wade through the snow first thing in the morning to make sure you’re all right. Payback for all the food that goes to the birds and squirrels instead of into their bowls. With a six foot privacy fence defending their kingdom, you’d think that there’s little cause for worry.
Only . . . that bit of snow is adding up. And pretty soon, even short dogs with little legs will be able to walk right over the fence where the snow has drifted into larger mounds. On the bright side, all the fresh snow makes it easy to track their tiny paw prints. Looking forward to a good thaw!
